Kai Ohrem

Since 2011, Kai Ohrem has been Professor of Acting at the Thomas Bernhard Institute of the Mozarteum University. He expanded his field of activity to include the subject "Applied Theory" and experimentation with cooperative teaching formats. His special focus is on the internationalization of acting studies. In 2017, he established the discussion series "In the Opposite Direction - Theater and Resistance".
Kai Ohrem (*1978) studied general and comparative literature at the Peter Szondi Institute of the FU Berlin and musicology at the HU Berlin. As a freelance director with a strong focus on Eastern Europe, he worked mainly in Prague, Vienna, Warsaw and Minsk. In addition to his work as a director, he taught acting as a guest lecturer at the HfS “Ernst Busch” Berlin, the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen and the MuK Vienna.
